The Watermark is a fee simple high-rise completed in 2008 by Intracorp and designed by Architects Hawaii Limited. Directories describe roughly 196 homes over 37 to 38 floors, mostly two-bedroom, two-bath units of about 1,080 to 1,200 square feet, with three-bedroom corners of about 2,200 square feet and penthouses on the top floors. About 60 percent of the site is open space, with ground-level gardens, a heated infinity-edge pool and several BBQ cabanas.

The tower sits on a cul-de-sac between Waikiki and Ala Moana, with units facing west over the gardens and the Ala Wai Canal toward the ocean. Ala Moana Beach Park, Kahanamoku Beach and Ala Moana Center are each within roughly a 10-minute walk.
