About the community

Living in Mililani

Planning for Mililani began in the early 1960s on former plantation fields, to meet Oahu's demand for housing. Today it is a classic American suburban town, with homeowners belonging to the Mililani Town Association, which keeps design standards and runs recreation centers including several pools.

An easy commute

Interstate H-2 opened in 1976 and cut travel time from Mililani to Honolulu in half. Kamehameha Highway and the H-2 connect north to Wahiawa and south to Waipio.

Award-winning community

In 1986 Mililani was named an All-America City, the only community in Hawaii to receive the distinction, and in 2005 Money magazine named it one of the best places to live in the U.S.

Golf, parks and pools

The public Mililani Golf Club is a par-72, 6,455-yard course. Neighborhood parks and Mililani Town Association recreation centers with pools are spread throughout town.

Shopping and work nearby

Almost all of Mililani's shopping centers are in Mililani Town, and the campus-style Mililani Technology Park is zoned for high-tech employers.
