Rentals: Hawaii Living's Waikiki condotel guide lists the Kalakauan in its transient vacation rental group, zoned Resort Mixed Use, and notes that rentals must follow zoning per the house rules. Locationshawaii marks it as legal vacation rental with restrictions; Hawaii Living's building page says short-term rentals are allowed. No hotel operator. Confirm current zoning, registration and house rules before you buy.
