Foster Tower is a 25-story concrete high-rise completed in 1962, with roughly 126 to 141 units ranging from studios to two-bedroom plans and a few larger combined units. Ownership is a mix of fee simple and leasehold; older records list a lease expiring April 30, 2034. Amenities include a pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness room, meeting room and 24-hour security, and retail and restaurant space fills the ground floor.

The building sits on Kalakaua Avenue across the street from Kuhio Beach Park, near the Duke Kahanamoku statue, an oceanfront position that is usually held by hotels. Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo and the Waikiki Aquarium are within walking distance, and higher floors look out over the ocean and toward Diamond Head.
